Special Ops: Lioness (series), Watch Online Free

Taylor Sheridan has solidified his position as a television powerhouse under Paramount's banner in recent years. He commenced his journey with the highly acclaimed Western family saga, Yellowstone, which spawned multiple prequels and spinoffs. Subsequently, he gave Sylvester Stallone his first lead role on television in the mob series, Tulsa King.

However, for his latest endeavor, Sheridan ventures away from the crime genre to explore the thrilling realm of international espionage. Introducing "Special Ops: Lioness," the series revolves around U.S. Marine Cruz Manuelos, portrayed by Locke & Key's talented Laysla De Oliveira, as she is handpicked for the C.I.A.'s covert "Lioness" program. This classified operation involves female operatives befriending the wives and daughters of dangerous terrorists, gaining their trust, and ultimately neutralizing these "high-value targets." In this high-stakes spy thriller, Zoe Saldaña takes on the role of Joe, Cruz's handler, while Oscar-winning icons Nicole Kidman and Morgan Freeman grace the screen with their presence in supporting roles. Sheridan's ability to attract such esteemed talent is one of his notable strengths as a showrunner. In the past, he convinced Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren to join the Yellowstone prequel 1923. Currently, he tantalizes audiences with news of an upcoming project involving "probably four of the biggest movie stars alive in it, and we’ve kept it quiet." The first episode of Special Ops: Lioness is now available for streaming on Paramount+. The season trailer promises an adrenaline-pumping experience with explosive action, including a "kill mission in front of CBS news," as mentioned by Freeman's character. Although some sequences may appear far-fetched, the core of the story is grounded in reality. Special Ops: Lioness draws inspiration from a genuine all-female unit established by the U.S. Marines, known as Task Force Lioness or the Female Engagement Team. Operating in Iraq and Afghanistan, their primary mission was to identify women potentially involved in terrorist activities. Due to cultural sensitivities, male Marines found it challenging to interact with women in these regions, leading to the use of hijabi women in attacks. Consequently, the Lionesses were formed to conduct close surveillance, establish community relationships with women, and carry out searches at checkpoints. While the series portrays the Lionesses as an ongoing program, in actuality, it was a temporary measure. Over time, Lionesses recruited and trained local women to perform culturally sensitive security searches. Viewers interested in watching Special Ops: Lioness can access it exclusively on Paramount+. The first two episodes premiered on July 23, with the option to watch the initial episode for free. Additionally, a week-long free trial is available for those eager to enjoy episode two and more.
