Allen Premium Outlets is now one of the most bustling shopping centers in North Texas

The Allen Premium Outlets has established itself as one of the most successful shopping centers in North Texas. Unlike other malls that have struggled in recent years, the center is almost completely leased and underwent an expansion just a few years ago.

Allen Premium Outlets

Located just north of Dallas in Allen, Texas, the Allen Premium Outlets is one of the busiest shopping centers in North Texas. With over 100 stores and a prime location off of US Highway 75, the outlet center has become a popular destination for both locals and tourists looking for high-end brands at discounted prices. Since it first opened in 2000, the Allen Premium Outlets has been a popular destination for shoppers from all over North Texas and even Oklahoma. The shopping center is home to 120 stores, including high-end brands like Coach, Tory Burch, and Michael Kors. Located at an intersection with one of the highest concentrations of retail in the region, the center is situated across the U.S. Highway 75 from Fairview Town Center and the Village at Allen, which are anchored by major retailers such as Dillard's, JCPenney, Macy's, Old Navy, Best Buy, and Target. The Allen Premium Outlets is one of the first outlet shopping centers in Texas built closer to a major city, as opposed to being located in smaller towns along major highways. As shoppers increasingly seek out discounts from their favorite brands, open-air outlet centers have emerged as formidable competitors to traditional malls. With nearly 100% of its 548,443 square feet of retail space leased, the Allen Premium Outlets has continued to attract shoppers even in the face of challenges posed by online retail. The shopping center completed a two-year expansion in 2018 that added 122,000 square feet of space, including a new wing in the middle of the center, and increased parking by 1,300 spaces. The expansion brought in popular brands such as H&M and the only Armani Outlet in North Texas. During the holiday season, the Allen Premium Outlets is particularly busy, with shoppers filling up the nearby Hampton hotel. Though Black Friday crowds have diminished in recent years, the center still sees long lines of cars waiting to get in during the early-morning opening hours.

One of the key factors contributing to the Allen Premium Outlets' success is its location. The center is conveniently situated off of US Highway 75, one of the busiest highways in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This makes it easily accessible to shoppers from all over the region, including those coming from the nearby cities of Plano, McKinney, and Frisco.

In addition to its prime location, the Allen Premium Outlets also offers a wide range of amenities to make the shopping experience more enjoyable for visitors. These amenities include a food court with a variety of dining options, a children's play area, and several outdoor seating areas where shoppers can take a break and relax.

Another key feature of the Allen Premium Outlets is its focus on providing shoppers with high-quality brands at discounted prices. Many of the stores at the center offer designer merchandise at up to 65% off of retail prices, making it an attractive option for bargain-hunting shoppers.

The outlet center also hosts a variety of special events throughout the year, including holiday sales, back-to-school shopping events, and seasonal promotions. These events attract large crowds and help to keep the center busy throughout the year.

Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Allen Premium Outlets has continued to thrive. The center has implemented a variety of safety measures to ensure the health and well-being of shoppers, including requiring masks, limiting occupancy, and providing hand sanitizing stations throughout the center. Simon Property Group owns the Allen Premium Outlets, as well as other notable properties in the region, including Grapevine Mills, Firewheel Town Center in Garland, Grand Prairie Premium Outlets, North East Mall in Hurst, and University Park Village and The Shops at Clearfork in Fort Worth.
