Black Restaurant Week Savors the Flavors of Dallas Once More

Foodies and supporters of Black-owned businesses, rejoice! Black Restaurant Week returns to Dallas for its fourth year, kicking off this Friday, March 15th, and running through Sunday, March 24th. This year's theme, "More Than Just a Week," emphasizes the event's mission to not only celebrate Black culinary excellence but also provide lasting support to Dallas' vibrant Black-owned restaurant scene.

A Celebration of Heritage Through Cuisine

Black Restaurant Week is more than just delicious food. It's a chance to delve into the rich tapestry of African American, African, and Caribbean cuisine. Participating restaurants will likely offer special menus featuring their signature dishes alongside creative takes on these unique culinary traditions. Expect bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and a taste of cultural heritage on every plate.

Supporting Black-Owned Businesses

Black Restaurant Week goes beyond a typical food event. Founded in 2016, the initiative aims to empower Black restaurateurs by providing much-needed marketing and PR support. Many Black-owned restaurants struggle to compete with larger chains when it comes to marketing budgets. Black Restaurant Week shines a spotlight on these establishments, giving them a platform to showcase their talents and attract new customers.

A Week-Long Culinary Adventure Awaits

The official list of participating restaurants has yet to be released, but with over a dozen establishments participating in previous years, Dallasites can expect a diverse range of options. From soul food favorites to contemporary takes on Caribbean flavors, there's something to tantalize every taste bud.

How to Get Involved

DALLAS! Here's your chance to actively support Black-owned restaurants and indulge in a week of culinary exploration. Here's what you can do:
