What is fair food?

We're not talking about equally made or fair-sourced foods; we are talking about state fair-themed foods. State fairs uniquely blend local traditions, amazing attractions, and regional cuisine in one place in specific states in the US to celebrate diversity and a new variety of recipes every year.

People compete to get their entries in to serve their items that year. Food trucks are so commonplace at fairs that they almost completely spoil us Texans!

Since state fairs began, the Library of Congress writes that they have been a place to show off “traditional home crafts,” giant vegetables, and prime livestock. But state fairs are also a place for friendly competition–and nowhere is that more visible than in state fair foods.

These recipes are all American staples that have been re-vamped and tailored to families, traditions, and generational stories. It's an amazing way to introduce yourself to new cultures and ways of life.

The fair originally was only there to showcase livestock and produce but in today's world people are craving the strange, new, and fun seasonal treats they have to offer to break up the mundane routine of daily living. Chicken-fried bacon. Hot-beef sundae. Cookie fries. Deep-fried butter balls. Python kebabs. Deep-fried mashed potatoes on a stick. Fried beer. All of these fun dishes are something Texans look forward to!

As a Texas company, we got the idea of sharing fair-themed fun foods year-round with this food truck! We're mobile and on wheels so through our catering services, we're able to celebrate our love of fried food all the time!
